On July 31, 2004, at the Hershey Golf Club, the Alzheimer's Association hosted the 8th Annual Golf Classic, in memory of Bob Sarsfield, Sr. Special thanks to Bob, Erin, and Ted, for their dedication and support of the event. Thank you to our sponsors, staff, volunteers, players, and inkind donors for contributing to the event! With over $29,000 in sponsorship and other funding accrued (a 9% increase above the projected revenue needed) and a 23% reduction in projected expenses, we netted over $20,000 for the Association (27.5% above the projected net revenue, not including over $5,000 in inkind donations from over 25 organizations)
During the year, we help manage many other fundraisers that benefit the Association, i.e. an evening of blues hosted by a national club; a golf tournament hosted by a large national corporation; candlelight vigils, and other events throughout the 18 counties we serve. If you are planning a fundraiser for our Association or would like information on how to do that, please contact Julie Girsch, Special Events Manager, at 717-651-5020. We would be happy to promote your event, in addition to providing materials and unique giveaways.
